NFEA

Support for Start-Ups, Micro Businesses and the Self Employed from Enterprise Agencies

The National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA) is the membership body for Local Enterprise Agencies, and other like-minded organisations, in England. It forms a network of independent, not for profit local agencies committed to responding to the needs of small and growing businesses by providing a comprehensive range of quality services. In particular we target pre-start, start-up and micro businesses, helping develop their ability to start and sustain themselves, and to encourage growth and stability. To find out about the wide range of business support services available, contact your local NFEA Member.

Over the last few years the NFEA have been heavily involved with the Business Volunteer Mentor (BVM) Programme. BVM provides free of charge or heavily subsidised mentoring to provide support for people looking t to start their own business, or are already running a small business. The New Entrepreneur Scholarship (NES) programme aims to encourage enterprise and remove the barriers to starting up in business in the most disadvantaged areas of Britain. The Small Business Advice (SBA) Service provides a unique, internet-based advice service for entrepreneurs, owner managers and the self-employed. This free and confidential service provides a response to business enquiries from professional business advisers.

Our 133 members are represented in 200 locations, and last year they conducted over 140,000 counselling sessions, helped in excess of 45,000 businesses, and supported over 20,000 known start-ups. Find out more about memberships benefits and how to join us here. If you are interested in the benefits of becoming a DTI approved Enterprise Agency you can find out more from http://www.nfea.com/
